Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 2280

Jason held onto her ankle, continuing to massage it without looking up, his voice soft, "Why didn't you say something earlier if your leg was hurting?"

The leg pain was originally just an excuse Sophia had made up to avoid exercising, merely feeling some soreness and weakness from not working out in a while, but his massage indeed made her feel a lot better.

She looked down at Jason, whispering, "I was afraid you'd lecture me again!"

Jason looked up, "Do I come off as that irritable to you? Why would I scold you for having leg pain?"

Sophia chuckled, "You're not irritable, just always have that stoic face, and I never know what you're thinking, so of course, I jump to conclusions."

Jason said quietly, "Don't judge if someone's good to you by what they say, but by what they do."

Sophia suddenly thought of Robin, who had promised her so much, yet she felt nothing but emptiness. Being with him, she couldn't feel his love or the future he spoke of, always feeling anxious.

She felt a twinge of sadness, murmuring, "Whoever ends up being your girlfriend will be very lucky!"

"And what about you?" Jason said, his head down so his expression was hidden, his tone casual yet gentle, "Don’t you want this kind of happiness?"

Sophia's heart skipped a beat, not fully grasping Jason's meaning and not daring to probe further, quickly changing the subject, "Alright, it doesn't hurt anymore!"

Jason let go of her leg, "Let's sit for a bit before we head home."

Sophia patted the space next to her, "Sit down, don't block the sunlight, you're messing with my tanning session!"

Looking at her somewhat pale face, Jason scoffed, "You could definitely use some sun, you're as pale as a ghost!"

Sophia glared at him, huffing, "I'm going through a breakup, okay? Anything out of the norm is totally normal! Can't you be a bit more understanding?"

Jason stared at her, "Am I not understanding enough with you?"

Sophia, locking eyes with him, suddenly found herself speechless.

Indeed, Jason had always been better to her than even her own mother, understanding her likes and dislikes more than anyone in her family. She'd always go to him with her problems, even telling him first about getting her period.
