Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1296

When they arrived at the 9th Mansion, everyone walked in and soon four or five waitresses came over.

The dim lighting and luxurious surroundings brought out the true nature of the men who had been drinking.

Manuel was having a whale of a time with a familiar waitress in his arms, teasing her and feeding her drinks. His earlier gentlemanly demeanor was nowhere to be seen.

Emily had never seen anything like this before. When Charlie and Carson Foster hung out, they would just play cards, chat, and drink. Even with waitresses around, they kept their cool.

But she knew that this was the norm for men in the workplace. Even though she didn't like it, she had to get used to it.

Charlie sat next to a waitress, but due to his composed demeanor, she remained respectful.

As another woman approached, Emily gracefully vacated her seat for her.

In the dim ambiance, Charlie's gaze followed Emily with an icy intensity as she moved away.

Finding a quieter spot, Emily took a seat.

Soon, Colin joined her. Smirking, he remarked, "Ms. Sullivan, you seem to handle your drinks well. Do you spend a lot of time with Mr. James?"

She responded evenly, "Mr. James and I just finalized a business deal, so he's in high spirits. I've had a few extra drinks tonight, but I'm not a heavy drinker. My tolerance is average."

Colin leaned in closer, the corner of his mouth twitching with amusement. "You're being too modest, Ms. Sullivan!" His arm casually draped behind her on the couch, his gaze never leaving hers. "I've recently co-founded a private club. Consider visiting on weekends. I'll even gift you a lifetime gold membership."

Emily moved back coolly. The alcohol in her stomach stirred and she felt a bit dizzy, but she managed to respond, "Thanks, Colin, but I don't think I'll need it. I have to take care of my kids on weekends."

"You have kids, Ms. Sullivan?" Colin looked incredulous. "You're pulling my leg!"

Emily just smiled and didn't explain.

Colin wasn't bothered. He reached for a glass of wine on the table. "Meeting Ms. Sullivan is the highlight of my day. Let's drink to that."
