After hanging up the phone, Emily hailed a taxi and headed to the restaurant where her mom worked.

Upon arrival, she stood in the lobby and called her mom, who told her to go straight to the private room.

Emily found the room number and went in, seeing the dishes on the table, she laughed, "Mom, you could've just told me what's up, why bother spending so much on all these dishes?"

Gina got up, helped Emily with her bag, and said with a loving smile, "We haven't had a meal together in a long time. We both have been busy, so today's a rare chance for us to catch up. I ordered some of your favorite dishes to give you some nourishment."

"Mom!" Emily hugged Gina, "No matter what happened in the past, you'll always be my closest and dearest mom!"

Gina choked up, "Why are you being so sweet today?"

"I've always felt this way. I want to make a lot of money in the future so you won't have to work so hard!" Emily said solemnly.

Gina's heart ached even more. She wiped the corner of her eye and choked out, "Sit down!"

Emily sat down on the chair and handed the utensils to Gina, "We should've invited big brother too, to have a meal together."

"Hold on!" Seeing Emily about to dig in, Gina hurriedly said, "There's someone else. Let's wait for a bit before we eat."

Emily looked forward to it, "Is it really big brother?"

As soon as she finished speaking, someone pushed the door and walked in. The strong smell of perfume immediately covered the aroma of the food.

Emily stared at the newcomer, "Noreen, why are you here?"
