Adina held a small leather bag and walked into Daugherty Corporation. The people around her cast a strange glance at her.

“Ms. Adina has just gotten a share of Daugherty Corporation, but she’s going to be kicked out of the Board of Directors now. What a poor lady.”

“She’s not poor. She spoke arrogantly without thinking about the situation, so it’s just backfiring on her now.”

“It looks like Ms. Dew is more suited to manage the company. Ms. Adina should just be somewhere else where she’s meant to be.”

“Did you forget that Ms. Dew ruined the tender project yesterday?”

Adina pretended as if she did not hear the murmurs.

She walked into the elevator and headed to the meeting room on the top floor.

She stood in front of the meeting room and glanced around. Great, everyone was there.

The moment she took a step in with her high heels, Mr. Lawson sneered. “Adina, you didn’t secure the contract with Boyd Corporation, so you don’t have the qualification to attend the shareholders’ meeting.”

Mr. Porter nodded. “We’re having an internal meeting today. Please leave, Adina.”

“You suggested the bet, and since you’ve lost, you should admit to it,” Aaron said coldly. “Get out!”

Adina had spoken firmly the other day, which made him think this daughter of his could really secure the Boyd Corporation project.

Yet, this morning, everyone said that Boyd Corporation had collaborated with the Jones family.

He should have known that Adina was useless. How could she convince Boyd Corporation’s person-in-charge?
