My ex husband wants me back (Daven and Althea) novel Chapter 814

"It's freezing outside, Mr. Cale."

"Because it's still early, and the temperature around us has dropped by several degrees. Put on your thick jacket."

Naomi sounded like she was whining. "Come on, Mr. Cale. I only went to sleep a few hours ago. I'm still really sleepy."

Cale remained as calm as ever. "If I hadn't seen you eat so much meat, I wouldn't be waking you up this early."

"What does waking up early have to do with eating meat?" Naomi protested.

Lydia immediately covered her own mouth when she heard their conversation. She already knew where this was going.

Sure enough.

"Nothing, but you need to move around more now. Do you want all that meat fat to build up on your body?"

"Mr. Cale, you're really annoying. Whether I gain weight or not is none of your business, right?"

Naomi seemed slightly victorious because of that response, but the victory didn't last long.

"Because if you really do get fat, I'll have Vincent hire a personal trainer."

Lydia, still sitting outside, immediately laughed softly.

Meanwhile, a much louder protest came from inside the tent. "That's not funny."

"I think it's funny."

"Cale Miller."

The man seemed completely unaffected. A few moments later, the tent zipper opened slightly. Naomi appeared with her hair still messy and an expression that made it clear she had not forgiven anyone for what had happened that morning.

She was still sitting inside the tent while hugging her blanket. "Just look." Naomi pointed outside. "It's still dark and freezing."

Unfortunately, Cale didn't respond. Instead of answering, he bent down and picked up Naomi's shoes, which had been neatly arranged near the equipment rack. He placed them directly in front of the girl.
