Once Max was out of sight, the four of them finally walked into the restaurant.
Savannah was completely on board with Felicia's move to Cloudville. Idle hands only led to a wandering mind, and throwing herself into a new environment was exactly what she needed to heal.
"Felicia, no matter what happens, we are entirely on your side. Don't be afraid to do exactly what you want," Anthony declared firmly. "And if you ever feel upset... well, you can use me as a human punching bag."
Felicia couldn't help but laugh, raising her glass to clink against Anthony's. She was only drinking juice, as Jeremy had strictly forbidden her from having alcohol. "Thank you."
Savannah smirked, teasingly eyeing Anthony. "With a frame like yours, you wouldn't be a punching bag. You'd shatter into a million pieces."
Anthony shot her a glare. "What is that supposed to mean? My eight-pack abs aren't just for show. I bet Jeremy hasn't trained half as hard as I have."
Savannah rolled her eyes and turned to Jeremy. "Did you hear this guy insulting you?"
Jeremy's lips curled into a faint, graceful smile. "I'm not a petty man. Letting him talk big won't hurt anyone."
Savannah laughed, raising an eyebrow at Anthony. "See? That's Jeremy. Completely unfazed."
Anthony scoffed, looking at Jeremy. "Care to hit the gym and settle this later?"
The atmosphere in the private dining room was bright and filled with effortless harmony. Coincidentally, Max's private room was situated diagonally across from theirs. When the servers opened the doors to wheel in their food, the cheerful, relaxed laughter from Felicia's room drifted clearly across the hall.
After lunch, Felicia headed back to the Ross family home. As soon as she walked through the door, Ava rushed over, looking her up and down before pulling her into a tight embrace. "You're home, Felicia."
Felicia wrapped her arms around the older woman, holding on tightly.
Ava froze for a second before hugging her back, gently patting her shoulders. "What's wrong, sweetheart?"
Resting her chin on Ava's shoulder, Felicia murmured, "Nothing, Mom. I just suddenly realized how wonderful it is to have my mom by my side."
