Save Myself From Desperation novel Chapter 318

"You..."

Ashley's eyes welled up with tears, her eyelashes trembling uncontrollably, her throat choked up, and she was unable to speak.

Valentin looked at her tenderly, and chuckled softly, "This ring, I prepared it on the day we got married, but I couldn't bring myself to put it on you. Just marrying me made you suffer, and if I were to put a wedding ring on you, I worried that you would be even more eager to leave me."

Ashley immediately shook her head but stopped halfway. At that time, she did want to leave him.

A thin layer of watery mist formed in her eyes, dampening her eyelashes.

Under the moonlight, Valentin knelt on one knee in front of her, gazing up at her, his deep and steady voice slowly resounding.

"Although we are already married, I don't want to overlook this step of proposing. I don't want it to make you feel incomplete."

His tone was sincere. He treated her as the most important person in his life. It was as if he wanted to sacrifice everything he could do and present it to her.

Pausing for a moment, Valentin's voice became low and solemn, filled with unprecedented devotion.

"Ashley, I love you. I have liked you for a very long time.

"I have always longed to spend the rest of my life with you as a lover, as family, and walk together to the end of time."

After hearing Valentin's words, tears finally streamed down. "You started preparing for the proposal since this morning, no, since yesterday when you said you would take me out to play?"

He nodded lightly, looking at her seriously, filled with affectionate warmth. "Would you be willing to wear this pre-prepared ring?"

Ashley's eyes and nose were both red, tears hanging on her cheeks. Upon hearing Valentin's question, she immediately nodded. "I'm, of course!"

Valentin held her hand with a serious and focused expression, slowly placing the ring on her ring finger.

After putting on the ring, he didn't immediately let go of her hand.
