'Did he really get an emergency contraceptive pill?'
Sydney's heart thumped at the thought. Her eyes became fierce. She stared at the paper bag and tried to figure out what else was inside. But she didn't show any expression on her face, so Julien didn't notice the subtle emotion in her.
Julien took out the rest of the medicine in the bag, cotton swabs, gauze, iodine, alcohol, which were all for treating wounds, and nothing else.
Sydney clutched the paper bag with uncertainty. The paper bag was empty. There was nothing left inside. Finally, she was relieved.
Seeing Sydney breathe a sigh of relief, Julien frowned slightly and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." Sydney smiled and shook her head. She felt nervous and guilty inside. She had wronged Julien. How could she have thought that Julien would get her emergency contraceptive pill?
"I'm sorry." Sydney suddenly apologized to Julien.
Julien raised his eyebrows in confusion, "What's wrong? Why are you suddenly apologizing to me?"
Sydney smiled. She was honest, "I thought it was an emergency contraceptive pill..." She didn't finish her sentence, but Julien should understand her.
Julien frowned and asked, "Do you think I would let you take that pill?"
Sensing the annoyance in his tone, Sydney lowered her with guilt. "It’s not all my fault. You bought the medicine at such a time, so I couldn't help but wonder..."
"You silly girl!" Julien lightly poked her forehead with his finger, "Why don't you have some faith in me? I'm looking forward to you getting pregnant with my baby, and then we can get married. Why would I give you birth control pills? It's not good for your health. I must be out of my mind if I do that."
Sydney looked at him, tugged on his sleeve, and pleaded, "I'm sorry. It was my fault. I didn't know your ideas about kids, so I was nervous. Now I know what you think. I won't worry about it."
Julien eased his furrowed brow. He reached out and took her into his arms. "I should apologize to you, too. I should have told you about my ideas about kids sooner. It was my fault. I'm sorry."
Sydney shook her head, "It's okay. It's nobody's fault. Let's forget about it, okay?"
Julien smiled, "Would you be upset if I said no?"
"Yes." Sydney lifted her chin.
Julien squeezed her chin and bit it gently. "All right. Let's forget about it."
Sydney touched her chin and asked, "What are you doing?" She glared at Julien.
Julien chuckled and carried her up in his arms.
Sydney was startled. She hurriedly wrapped her arms around his neck.
Julien carried her to the bedroom. After putting her on the bed, he looked at the ointment in her hand and asked, "Do you need my help?"
Sydney blushed instantly. She hissed, "I don't need your help. I can do it myself."
She was too shy to let him apply the ointment on her most vulnerable spot.
Although they had sex last night, and he had seen every inch of her body, it was yesterday. She wouldn't let him touch her now.
If he was aroused again, Sydney couldn't stand it.
Julien knew Sydney would refuse his help. He was just teasing her.
"All right. You put the ointment on yourself. I'm going out." Julien then straightened his clothes and was about to leave the room.
Suddenly, Sydney called out to him, "Wait a minute."
Julien paused and turned around. "What's wrong?"
Sydney patted the bed. "Lie down on your stomach here."
Julien raised his eyebrows and showed a small smile, "What? What are you going to do to me?"
Sydney rolled her eyes at him, "What are you thinking about? Can you get those evil ideas out of your head?"
What would she do to him at the moment?
