Julien gave a smug smile, "I have money. It's no big deal!"
Sydney rolled her eyes at him.
‘Well, he's rich indeed.'
If it wasn't for the fact that she knew Julien very well, she would have suspected that he was deliberately showing off his wealth to her!
Sydney shook her head resignedly, "Okay. I know you're rich. Go to the meeting. Zach has already left."
Julien nodded, "Okay. I’m leaving. Stay here. If you don't want to take a nap, you can walk around in the company or you can call a secretary in to keep your company. Here are snacks and drinks. If you need anything else, tell the secretary."
Listening to Julien ramble on, Sydney held her forehead with one hand. "I know. I won't be bored. I told you not to arrange everything for me, but you forgot it again so quickly. Stop babbling, please! Why do you keep nagging? I've never seen you like this before. What's wrong with you?"
Julien stared at her and said, "I'm just worried about you."
"There's nothing to worry about me. I'm not a child. Go ahead. Just get out of here."
Sydney chuckled and got out of his arms. Then she turned him around and pushed him on his back toward the door.
As Sydney pushed Julien, he walked slowly forward. How else could Sydney push him forward?
These two were like playing a sweet game.
Sydney pushed Julien out of the door and then pulled his handkerchief out of his suit pocket.
Julien wondered what she was going to do. The next second, Sydney waved the handkerchief and said, "Go ahead. Go to the meeting! Don't keep them waiting. I'll be waiting for you here."
Sydney promised to stay with Julien at the office today, so she wouldn't leave.
Watching her wave the handkerchief, Julien understood that she was waving goodbye to him. He couldn't help but laugh.
This was the first time he had seen Sydney say goodbye to him in this way. He loved it.
For anything she did for him, he loved it.
"I'll be back soon." Julien nodded slightly and then walked forward.
After a few steps, he suddenly stopped.
Sydney was confused. She dropped her hand and asked, "What's wrong? Did you forget something?"
"Yes." Julien nodded his head. Then he turned around and strode toward her.
He approached her in no time. Then under Sydney's puzzled gaze, he reached out one hand to wrap around her waist and lifted her chin with the other. He then leaned down and kissed her on the lips.
Sydney's eyes widened. She froze.
By the time she came back to her senses, Julien had straightened his back, but he didn't let go of her or withdraw his hand from her chin.
Sydney blinked. She stared at Julien with a flushed face. "Is that what you forgot?"
Julien looked down at her and rubbed her lips with his thumb. He whispered in a husky voice, "Yes."
Sydney blushed even more at Julien's whisper.
He had just stopped in his track suddenly. He looked so serious and answered her in a solemn tone.
Sydney believed he had forgotten something important, and she got nervous.
However, he just wanted to kiss her!
Sydney felt angry yet funny. "Now you've done it. You can go now."
She had urged him to go to the meeting several times, but Julien was still there.
She was worried that if the shareholders knew that Julien was late for the meeting because he was clinging to her, they would blame her.
