If it was Julien's phone...
Shareholders exchanged glances with each other, and subtle smiles were in their eyes. If it really was Julien's phone buzzing, he would have embarrassed himself.
They had never seen Julien embarrass himself before. Julien had always been a disciplined man. He never made any mistakes. It was very hard to witness his error.
But today, Julien might have broken his principles, so the shareholders were secretly looking forward to seeing if it was Julien's phone. If it was, it was such a rare occurrence.
The shareholders were all excited inside.
Julien ignored the various expressions on the faces. He turned on his phone. When he saw the messages on the screen, there was a subtle twitch at the corner of his mouth.
Whoops, it really was his phone.
A moment ago, he had questioned the shareholders, but now, it seemed he had made himself a joke.
It was Sydney who texted him. If it had been anyone else, Julien would have torn him apart. But how could he blame Sydney?
Julien rubbed his eyebrows. Then he turned off his phone. He didn't check the messages.
He knew Sydney wouldn't send him idle messages while he was in a meeting. She must have something serious to tell him, but it wasn't urgent. Otherwise she would have called him.
Therefore, Julien decided to focus on the meeting first and check the messages later. He put down his phone without saying anything and picked up the laser pointer and walked calmly toward the big screen. He didn't show any emotion on his face, as if he wasn't embarrassed at all.
In short, he had put it behind him. The shareholders glanced at each other.
They didn't know what was going through Julien's mind. After he checked his phone, he nonchalantly put it down as if nothing had happened. The shareholders were all surprised.
'What's going on?'
When Julien checked his phone, the expression on his face clearly showed it was indeed his phone buzzing.
‘But how does Mr. Flint look as if nothing has happened?'
Well, since Julien was not embarrassed, the shareholders had no show to watch.
They glanced at each other again. Now, only numbness was in their eyes.
The shareholders were disappointed. Even if Julien embarrassed himself, he wouldn't let them see it.
What a pity! They had thought that today they would...
The shareholders shook their heads with pity.
"Let's continue." Looking at the sullen faces of the shareholders, Julien knew what they were expecting. But he ignored them.
There were so many people waiting for a chance to laugh at him, but no one ever got the chance.
After almost four hours, the meeting finally ended.
The shareholders gathered up the materials and left the conference room.
They were happy. Julien had made a decision during the meeting. Once the decision was carried out, it would definitely be profitable, and the shareholders would receive a dividend. Therefore, all the shareholders were satisfied. When they left, they all had smiles on their faces.
Julien did not leave the conference room immediately. He sat down in a chair to rest his stiff legs.
For the past four hours, he had basically been standing and talking all the time. He had been introducing a project to the shareholders. Now his throat was sore and dry.
He took a sip of the coffee that had turned cold. Then he picked up his phone and checked the messages from Sydney.
After he finished reading the messages, his face darkened. He pounced up from his chair and called out, "Zach!"
