Although Zach wanted to ignore the employees, he secretly wished in his mind that the guy from Skylight would come soon.
If the guy could come a minute earlier, Zach and Julien could leave the hall sooner and end the embarrassment.
Perhaps God had heard Zach's prayers and had mercy on him. Soon, a guy dressed in a suit carrying a thermos came into the gate.
Seeing the guy, Zach immediately stood up and excitedly called out to Julien, "Mr. Flint, the Skylight guy is here. I recognized the thermos in his hand. Ms. Raines used it when she took care of you."
Julien was looking at his watch. When he heard Zach's call, he immediately looked up.
Indeed, the thermos looked familiar.
Julien didn't pay any attention to the guy, but his eyes were fixed on the thermos.
Julien curled the corners of his lips and got up. He strode to the guy.
Surprised to see Julien walking towards him, the guy greeted, "Mr. Flint."
"Give it to me." Julien held out his hand.
The guy immediately handed Julien the thermos and said with a respectful smile, "Mr. Flint, Ms. Raines cooked the soup herself and asked me to bring it here for you. Ms. Raines wants you to have it when it is warm."
Julien took the thermos and said in a gentle voice, "OK. You can go back."
"Yes." The guy nodded.
Julien turned and headed for the elevator, Zach following him behind.
The receptionist breathed a sigh of relief after the two entered the elevator.
'Yeah! They're finally gone!' The receptionist was relieved. Her stress was gone, and she didn't need to be cautious anymore.
The receptionist wiped the cold sweat off her forehead and gave a relaxed smile. Then she picked up her phone and sent what she had just seen to the chat group.
The employees were all speculating about why their boss was sitting in the hall. There were all kinds of speculation.
Now the employees learned that their boss was waiting for the soup that his girlfriend cooked for him. They were all amazed.
None of them had thought of this possibility.
The female employees were pretty excited. 'Mr. Flint waited in the hall in person for Ms. Raines' soup. He's such a gentleman. And he's only gentle with Ms. Raines alone. He's really trustworthy!'
Then, in comparison with Julien, the male employees were despised. But the male employees did not dare to argue.
Since their comparison was with Julien, if they argued, it would mean they had a problem with their boss.
They were afraid that if they had a problem with their boss, their leaders would soon come to talk to them.
What else could they do?
They could only listen to the female employees' complaints.
Julien went back to his office and Zach followed him in.
Before Zach asked Julien which documents needed to be distributed to the managers, Julien demanded, "Give me a bowl."
'Mr. Flint put his work aside to taste Sydney's soup.' Zach roasted inwardly, but he smiled and nodded. Then he went to get the bowl and spoon.
By the time Zach returned with the bowl and spoon, Julien had the thermos open.
The soup was still warm and steaming. It smelled good.
Zach sniffed at it and swallowed. His eyes were fixed on the thermos. "Mr. Flint, it smells delicious!"
"Of course." Julien lifted his chin slightly and gave a proud expression. In his mind, Sydney was the best in every way, and certainly, her soup was delicious.
Looking at the proud expression on Julien's face, Zach complained in his mind, 'I was praising Ms. Raines' cooking, not Mr. Flint.’
