Julien buttoned his coat as he replied, "OK. Let's go home."
Sydney walked forward.
However, she had just woken up and was hungry. She was too weak.
In the next second, she was unsteady on her feet and fell forward.
Seeing that, Julien became anxious and didn't have the time to button the last two buttons. He grabbed her arm and pulled her into his arms.
She leaned against his chest. Her face was filled with panic.
Obviously, she was shocked just now.
He hugged her slightly. He held her waist with one hand and gently patted her back with the other hand. He asked worriedly, "Are you all right?"
She said, "I'm fine."
He grabbed her shoulders with two hands, pushed her away slightly and asked, "What happened?"
She exhaled slightly, calmed down and said, "I was hungry, so I was unsteady on my feet. Then you saw what happened next."
'So that's it.'
He looked down at her feet. "Have you sprained your ankles?"
She wore heels and thus tended to sprain her ankles in such a situation.
Although he didn't hear the sound that she sprained her ankles, he was still worried. 'What if I didn't hear it?'
"No, I haven't." Seeing his worried and concerned gaze, she shook her head and replied with a smile, "My legs are fine."
She specially moved her ankles in case he was still worried about her.
After she moved both of her ankles, she stopped and stood there.
Confirming that she was fine, he was finally relieved. He nodded slightly. "That's good. You're hungry. Let's go home immediately."
"OK." She nodded.
He held her waist and took her to the elevator.
She wanted him to let go, so she could walk more freely.
After all, it was inconvenient for them to walk when he held her waist.
However, he thought that she was too weak and unsteady on her feet. He insisted on holding her waist.
She could do nothing and gave up on persuading him.
Soon, they arrived at the apartment.
She put down her purse, took down the apron in the living room and was about to cook in the kitchen.
However, he pulled her arm. "You're hungry and weak. Leave it to me."
Seeing his serious expression, she handed the apron to him. "OK."
"Wait a while. The dinner will be ready soon." He took the apron from her hands, stroked her hair and walked into the kitchen.
She raised her hand to touch her messy hair and pulled a wry face. Then she turned around and walked towards the couch. She watched the TV as she waited for dinner.
After more than ten minutes, Sydney's phone rang before Julien finished cooking dinner.
She paused the TV, put down the remote control, picked up her phone, looked at the caller ID and answered the phone. "Hi."
A woman said politely on the phone, "Hi, Ms. Raines. I'm an employee from the dress shop."
Sydney said, "I see. Why are you calling me? It's late at night."
"The dress, which you ordered in our shop, arrived at our shop yesterday from Midlind by air. When will you be available to come here to try it on? Then we can confirm if it needs to be modified."
