"Okay, Ms. Raines," the manager smiled and nodded.
Sydney walked towards the place where she had put her coat.
When she came to her coat, she rummaged through the pockets of her coat and took out her cell phone. She lit the screen and took a look. A trace of surprise flashed in her eyes.
It turned out that Julien had called her just a few minutes ago.
Yet she was in the dressing room at that time, so she missed it.
Sydney put the dress on her coat, unlocked her phone, and called Julien.
As soon as the call connected, before she could speak, Julien's husky voice with restrained desire came through. "Leaf."
He called out her name.
It was an ordinary word, but Sydney somehow felt something strange.
His husky voice was very sexy, and when he called her name, his tone was so seductive that she felt he was flirting with her.
Sydney's face was slightly hot, and the tips of her ears flushed. She responded with a light cough, "What's wrong?"
"The picture you just took is fantastic." There was a moment of silence on the phone before Julien continued, "Can you wear it for me tonight?"
His voice was getting even huskier.
Sydney finally understood why his voice had suddenly become like this and why she felt he was hitting on her when he spoke.
That was because she had bewitched him first.
She knew how attractive that picture was, and she was stunned by herself in that dress.
Of course, Julien was fascinated.
Thus, he was so excited.
And his request was meaningful.
If she wore this dress for him tonight, he would pounce on her and tear it apart.
From what she knew about him, he would definitely do so.
Thinking about it, Sydney rolled her eyes in annoyance. "No!"
Julien frowned. "Why?"
"And you're asking why?" Sydney looked toward the manager, half covered the phone, and lowered her voice. "If I do that, can I keep this dress intact?"
These words made Julien stunned and speechless. The answer came to his mind at once.
The answer was no.
As he received the photo, he was working on the documents.
He had not intended to pay attention to the phone while it was vibrating, but he cast a sideways glance at it.
Then he saw that it was a message from her.
When he realized this, his first reaction was not happiness but anxiety.
After all, they only ended contact not long ago, and she suddenly sent a message. It was difficult for him not to worry about her.
Then he threw aside the urgent documents and took the phone to check her message.
Unexpectedly, he couldn't take his eyes off it.
She sent him nothing but a photo of her in a dress. She was charming beyond compare.
He had seen her wear pretty dresses in the past, but it was the first time he had seen her so gorgeous.
And the fishtail dress was clingy, which showed off her perfect figure.
She was like a beautiful mermaid.
