"Correcting Greta's file?" Sydney frowned, "What do you mean, the information currently in Greta's file is not fake but real?"
Julien compressed his lips and didn't say anything.
Zach interjected, "Yes, Ms. Raines, you're right. According to that deputy director, Mr. Matt Claus, Dallin had him change Greta's identity information to the one we just got at the police station. In other words, the information I found out about Greta earlier was true."
"Tell me more," Julien demanded.
Zach continued, "I found out that Greta was an orphan and was raised in an orphanage, but her name was not Greta Dallin then, but Evelin Cain. The name was given to her by the orphanage director, and later Dallin gave her a new name, Greta. The alteration was executed one week before you asked me to investigate Greta."
"So that Matt didn't change anything about Greta's identity other than her name?" Julien wrinkled his brows.
Zach nodded, "Yes, that's what Mr. Claus said. I don't think he was lying. He just did what Dallin told him to do. As for who Greta really is, we need to find out that from Dallin."
Julien compressed his lips into a thin line. He was silent.
Sydney looked at Julien, "I'm shocked!"
They had thought they could find out Greta's real identity through Matt.
However, Matt had only changed Greta's name, and the rest of the information in her profile was the same as what Julien had found out before.
They only found out Greta's original name. They still hadn't found out Greta's real identity.
All they knew was that Greta had a special relationship with Dallin.
Julien nodded slightly, "That's okay. Though you didn’t find out anything through Greta, I can ask Dallin about it."
Julien continued to talk into the phone, "All right. Stop investigating her. I'll call Dallin later."
"Okay, Mr. Julien," Zach responded.
Julien put the phone down and prepared to call Dallin.
He had never contacted Dallin or met him in person because Julien's mother had loved Dallin and Julien didn't trust Dallin. Julien never wanted to contact Dallin or meet him.
Julien did not plan to meet Dallin before he found out if Dallin had murdered Julien's father and if Dallin was involved in Julien's car accident.
Julien planned to meet Dallin for the first and last time after everything was confirmed.
After all, his mother had loved this man.
But if Dallin wasn’t responsible for Julien's father’s death or Julien's car accident, or if the truth never came out, Julien wouldn't meet him because Julien was sick of him.
However, at such a time, Julien had no choice but to contact Dallin.
Seeing Julien's brows furrowed, Sydney bit her lower lip and asked, "Are you sure?"
"Sure about what?" Julien looked up at her. He looked confused.
Sydney pointed to his phone and replied, "Are you sure you want to contact Dallin? I don't think you want to talk to him."
It was natural for Julien to hate Dallin, who had a past with Julien’s mother.
And that man might have murdered Julien's father, so Sydney was worried.
Seeing the concerned look in Sydney's eyes, Julien understood what she was worried about. He felt warmth in his heart and then he reassured her, "It's okay. I'll have to face him sooner or later. I also wanted to know how he would react when he heard it was me. Maybe I could learn from his reaction whether he hated me."
Dallin had lost the love of his life to Julien's father. If Dallin hated Julien, it must have been because he hated Julien's father. Then most likely, Dallin was the murderer of Julien's father.
Not everyone was generous enough to love the son of his love rival.
Since Julien wanted to figure out Dallin’s attitude towards him, Sydney didn't stop him. "All right. I'm on your side no matter what you do."
