Standing there, Felicia waved to him as she saw him leaving.
Not until his car was far away and out of sight did she put down her hand and turn around, walking into the old residence.
Julien had been looking at the rearview mirror in the car. Only when the old residence had disappeared in the mirror did he push the button to close the car window. Then he picked up his phone, found Sydney's phone number, and dialed it.
Sydney had been waiting for Julien at Skylight Corporation.
Now there was just half an hour to seven, but Julien did not show up. Thus, she was inevitably worried if he had finished the meeting with Grandma or if something was stopping him on the road.
After being hesitant for a few seconds, Sydney was about to call Julien and ask about his condition. Suddenly her phone on the desk rang.
She turned her head and saw "Julien" dancing on the screen. Only then was she relieved. She had a smile, picked up the phone, put it at her ear, and said, "Hello?"
"I talked to Grandma for a little too long. Sorry to have kept you waiting," Julien apologized.
Sydney shook her head and said, "It doesn't matter. Grandma is the most important. And it's not time yet. Have you finished talking to Grandma now?"
Julien said yes and added, "Finished. I've just left the old residence. I'll be there in about ten minutes."
"About ten minutes?" Sydney raised her brows and smiled, "Are you kidding me? The old residence is in the mountain, far away from downtown. You've just left it. You'll at least have to spend half an hour on the road. How could you come back in about ten minutes? If you think it's too late for you to come like this, I can inform Aunt, saying we'll be there a little late. Don't drive so fast to try to come on time. An accident might happen if you do that."
Even if he drove very fast, he could not get there in about ten minutes. But he could at least arrive there earlier.
So she was worried he would do that. 'What if something happens?
'Overspeed is one of the main reasons for traffic accidents!'
Hearing Sydney's worry and disapproval, Julien chuckled, "Don't worry. I won't drive that fast. I have my own way. I said I'll be there in about ten minutes, then I'll. You don't believe me?"
"What is your way?" Sydney asked curiously.
Unwilling to reveal it, Julien said mysteriously, "You'll know then. Well, let's end the chat. Meet in about ten minutes."
Then he hung up.
Sydney had something yet to say, but she had no chance to say it now.
Seeing the contacts interface return, she shook her head and laughed, "Okay. Then I'll see if you can get here in about ten minutes."
'Hope you're not boasting!
'Otherwise, you'll lose face.'
After the mutter, Sydney put down her phone and rose, walking toward the bathroom.
On the private road in the Cloud View Mountain, Julien pulled over, got out of the car, and looked up.
He kept looking up for about a minute, and the rumbling noise of propellers suddenly came, getting near him.
Then a luxurious silver helicopter appeared in the sky.
The helicopter was coming near and finally stopped, hovering steadily a dozen meters above his head.
Julien looked at the helicopter and gestured to it.
The next second, the helicopter door opened, and a rope ladder was suddenly thrown out. A man in a bodyguard suit stuck his head out of the door and nodded to Julien, then he held the rope ladder and came down step by step.
"Mr. Flint." The bodyguard jumped off the rope ladder, came to Julien, and saluted him.
Julien nodded slightly, threw his car key at him, and said, "Drive the car back to Flint Corporation."
"Yes, sir," the bodyguard caught the car key and replied.
Not caring about him anymore, Julien walked past him to the rope ladder. He held its sides, went up a few steps, and stopped in the middle.
Then the helicopter began to rise.
When the helicopter had reached a certain altitude, the person in it began to pull the rope ladder and Julien back into the cabin.
But Sydney didn't know Julien was riding a helicopter straight toward Skylight Corporation.
After relieving herself, she returned to her office, sat down behind the desk, and picked up her phone to count the minutes Julien would spend.
