However, what surprised Mrs. Chase more was Julien's generosity.
He gave her husband several bottles of wine worth several million dollars each. There were only a hundred bottles of each kind in the world, which meant they were very valuable and rare. So Mrs. Chase thought those who had bought such wine, basically not to drink it, but to collect it.
And Julien gave away the precious wine as a gift. Few people were as generous as him.
It seemed that he had changed and loved Sydney very much.
Otherwise, how could he possibly give such wine to Mr. Chase?
After all, Mr. Chase was not Julien's real future father-in-law.
But Julien gave the wine to him anyway, which clearly showed that he loved Sydney so much that he treated them as his real future father-in-law and mother-in-law.
Thinking about this, Mrs. Chase had a much better opinion of Julien. Now, Julien got a passing score.
Yet she had to continue to observe and test Julien.
As if he had sensed Mrs. Chase's thoughts, Julien's eyes flickered slightly, glancing at Mr. Chase, who was smiling happily at the wine. Julien got up and handed the remaining bags of gifts to Mrs. Chase. "Auntie, these are the gifts I prepared for you. I hope you will like them."
"For me?" Mrs. Chase froze for a moment and pointed to herself.
Julien nodded. "Of course, I have gifts for both you and Uncle. I can't play favorites."
Mrs. Chase smiled shyly, "Thank you."
She silently added ten points to the score sheet in her mind.
Well, there were still thirty points left to get a full score.
"Auntie, you're welcome. Just open the gifts." Julien sat back.
Mrs. Chase looked at Mr. Chase, who was touching the bottles of wine. She secretly rolled her eyes, thinking, "How vulgar! It looks like he's touching beauties. What an easily satisfied man!"
Mrs. Chase withdrew her gaze of disgust and looked at the several gift boxes in front of her.
After seeing these bottles of wine, she knew that with Julien's generosity, the gifts prepared for her must not be simple either.
Although she didn't know how good they were, she definitely wouldn't act as stupid as her husband.
Thinking of this, Mrs. Chase calmly put down the coffee cup in her hand and smiled elegantly at Julien, "In that case, I'll open them and take a look."
Julien curved his thin lips hooked slightly and gestured for her to go ahead.
Mrs. Chase exhaled quietly and then placed her hands on the ribbons of a gift box.
After opening the first gift box, Mrs. Chase was stunned when she saw what was inside, and then she let out a cry.
Her reaction was exactly the same as Mr. Chase's when he saw the first bottle of wine.
Mr. Chase was startled. After hugging the wine bottles tightly in his arms, he glared at Mrs. Chase. "What are you doing? You scared me and almost made me drop the wine bottles. If that happened, could you afford it?"
He was badly frightened when he loosened his grip on the bottles after hearing her scream.
His heart almost stopped, and he could even feel his soul was out of his body at that moment.
As Mrs. Chase listened to Mr. Chase's complaint, the excited look on her face froze for a moment. She turned to roll her eyes at Mr. Chase. "None of your business. Shut up!"
After saying that, she grunted, ignored Mr. Chase, and withdrew her gaze. Then she reached for the next gift box and opened it.
