Sabrina was slightly appalled when she saw Ryan at that moment. The fact that she had been fired after only working here for two days was mainly because of him. Had Ryan not behaved so eagerly around her, she would not have to face the overwhelming jealousy from every female colleague from the office, so much s o that Ruth decided to get her in trouble. Ryan was the sole reason as to why she had faced obstacles, one after another. He was no different from Nigel six years ago, just a playboy that was tired of all the beautiful women surrounding him and decided that he wanted t o try something new with someone dull and nerdy for a change. But Sabrina had grown out of her foolishness from six years ago. She would not allow herself to be affected by a man like Ryan any longer, which explained her reluctance to show any interest when Ryan was speaking directly to her.
Sabrina's expression remained cold in front of Ryan, s o much so the Design Director had to remind her by saying, "Sabrina, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you that Master Ryan has taken an interest in you, countless girls would kill to have dinner with Master Ryan. With Master Ryan's support, no one in the office would dare to cause you any trouble. Even if Ruth returns to the office in the future, she would not have the nerves to mess with you if you are under Master Ryan's protection."
"I've already been fired, so I'm just here to take the ten thousand remuneration I'm entitled to," said Sabrina.
Just as the Design Director was struggling to find the right words to try and convince Sabrina, she caught sight of the few female designers from the Design Department coming down from the bus. They all spotted Ryan in an instant and immediately sprung out of control. 1
"Oh my, Master Ryan, are you here waiting for Linda beauty? You know, we heard that you promised you would take Linda out for dinner two weeks ago and still haven't fulfilled that promise yet. Master Ryan..." One of them chirped.
"Master Ryan, do we have the pleasure to follow when you treat Linda to dinner?"
"Master Ryan..."
Ryan glared impatiently at these unimpressively ordinary women, and felt nauseated from just the smell of cheap perfume oozing from them. Unlike these women, Sabrina wore a faint fragrance that could hardly be categorized into anything but the scent of nature. The scent was barely noticeable but easy to the nose and was very refreshing.
Of course, Ryan was unaware that the perfume Sabrina was using was one that Sebastian had tailor-made specifically for her. A small flask that contained five milliliter could easily cost hundreds of thousands. He ignored all the other women, Linda included, and looked longingly at Sabrina with a gentle smile." Sabrina, I've already fired Ruth, so there won't be anyone in the office to bully you any longer. You should have a great time working here now, right?"
Behind them, Linda and the other designers gaped enviously. They turned to glare at Sabrina in unison and found her standing there expressionlessly.
"Master Ryan, we don't even know each other. I'm sorry to say this, but do you mind not harassing me from now on? Besides, I don't work here anymore. I'm just here to collect my remuneration so if you'd excuse me, please step aside." Sabrina did not waver and stood her ground.
For a moment, Ryan contemplated silently as to why it felt so good to be rejected. This was the first time he had ever been rejected mercilessly by a girl. Any other time in his life, women would just fling themselves at him and being rejected was a new experience to Ryan. 1
He chuckled and wanted to continue his attempt at wooing Sabrina, when someone stepped out of the doors. It was Yvonne.
