The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 318

Five minutes later, Samuel stepped out of the office. He let out a deep sigh. With a swipe of his hand, he wiped the beads of sweat off his forehead.

Outside the door, the manager, vice president, and other administrators of the Red Jack Club were waiting. Samuel waved them off, "Get back to work, guys."

Serena sidled up to Samuel, casting a glance at the tightly shut door of the CEO's office, "Mr. Samuel, we're not strangers here. I've been working here for six years and I've never even seen the boss."

Compared to Serena's curiosity, Sarah turned and walked away.

In Red Jack Club, the less curious they were, the higher their chances of survival. Too much curiosity often led to no good.

If the boss didn't want to be seen, then so be it. She was quite content to mosey around the office.

Samuel looked at Sarah's retreating figure, then at Serena. "Serena, look at Sarah, then at yourself. This kind of curiosity might get you into trouble."

"Aw, Mr. Samuel, I was just saying. I'm no match for Sarah. I mean, she's better than me in all aspects. Otherwise, I wouldn't be stuck on the first and second floors for two weeks straight." Serena said, looping her arm through Samuel's as they walked towards the elevator.

"Serena, are you blaming me now? Sarah has been with Red Jack Club for over a decade, I owe her some respect." Samuel said.

Serena's voice was soft as she clung to Samuel's arm, brushing it against her chest now and then. "You respect her, what about me? Mr. Samuel, if I'm still stuck on the first and second floors next week, I'm gonna be pissed." Serena said.

Samuel was amused, "Alright, alright."

Once they reached Samuel's office, he couldn't wait to take off his coat and pull Serena onto the couch with him.

After a bit of making out, Serena asked between breaths, "Mr. Samuel, what did the boss come for this time?"

Samuel lit a cigarette and said, "Who knows? He only asked a few questions. I’ve hardly met the boss myself. All I know is that he's young but ruthless. His visits here depend on his mood. I usually contact him through his assistant. Unless it's something major, I can't get a hold of him. When I was in the office just now, I didn't even dare to look up at him."
