The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 1090

Thalassa thought to herself that at least he had the decency to realize she didn't want to see him.

If he knew that, why didn't he leave?

Impatiently, Thalassa reached out to push him away, "Scram, will you?"

But he caught her hand in his large grip, and with a gentle pull, she found herself spun around into the fortress of his chest. His broad torso enveloped her with a powerful and secure embrace.

His dominant presence, the distinctly masculine scent of him, seeped into Thalassa's being, causing her heart to race like a deer caught in headlights.

In that moment, Thalassa's composure shattered. She tried to pull her hand free while awkwardly leaning back, attempting to put some distance between them.

Lysander, however, took a step forward, one foot on the bed, the other still on the floor, leaning over her.

Overwhelmed by his forceful demeanor and strength, Thalassa found herself lying back on the bed.

Lysander hovered over her, his deep-set eyes locking onto her flustered gaze, "What are you hiding?"

His voice, low and magnetically intimidating, made her heart shrink in fear.

A frown creased Thalassa's forehead, sensing trouble, "Hiding? What am I supposed to be hiding?"

"Rather be misunderstood than explain? You'd let them think the child isn't mine instead of clarifying who's been taking the birth control! What exactly are you trying to hide?" Lysander's question was direct, his index finger pressing against her cheek, indenting the soft flesh and forcing her to face him, leaving no room for evasion.

Thalassa's pupils dilated, her heart tightened, the uneasy premonition now a loud alarm in her head.
