The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 1149

Outside the bathroom door, Angelina's cheeks flushed into a deep crimson as she overheard the sounds emanating from within. Alaric and Hertha were in there, and it seemed they were getting quite intimate.

Good Lord, she hadn’t expected to hear such conversations. Hertha was complaining that Alaric wasn't being forceful enough.

Angelina couldn't bear it any longer. Her face burned with embarrassment as she quickly covered it with her hands and scurried away.

Inside the bathroom, with their combined efforts, Hertha's hair was finally free.

Hertha scrambled to her feet, desperate to leave.

“Hold on, you go ahead and shower. I'll step out,” Alaric called out to her.

She turned around and saw Alaric pushing himself off the floor, grimacing with pain as he stood up.

After he rose, he brushed past her and exited the bathroom. He even went to close the bedroom door, in case Beatrice or Angelina came to eavesdrop again.

Hertha stood in the bathroom, her heart racing, the heat of the moment still lingering. She strained her ears for any sound from outside. At first, there were Alaric's footsteps. Soon, all was silent.

Her shoulders relaxed slightly. She considered to just leave but her clothes were soaked and she was in complete disarray.

How would she explain herself to Beatrice and Remington if she just left? And she couldn't possibly fulfill the promise she'd made to Alaric.

With gritted teeth, Hertha made up her mind. She locked the bathroom door, stripped off her wet clothes and took a warm shower. Then she wrapped herself in the oversized bathrobe hanging there—it hung on her like a dress and must have belonged to Alaric.
