Thalassa dabbed away the tears forming at the corners of her eyes, took a deep breath to calm her emotions. Once she felt a bit more collected, she met Callum's gaze. "The situation with Debby isn't something I can dictate," she said. "It's not just about me. Lysander's leg also got burned, and he's out for justice."

She steered the conversation back on track. Callum had recounted Debby's love for Leopold and Leopold's struggles abroad, trying to persuade her to empathize with Debby, to let her off the hook.

Unfortunately, the decision wasn't hers to make.
