The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 1373

"Mommy!" Elowen's voice quivered with fear.

The bodyguard scooped her up and made for the exit.

"Mommy..." Sophia's small frame squirmed in fright.

Clutched tightly in the bodyguard's arms, she, too, was carried out alongside Elowen.

Their struggles and cries gradually faded into the distance.

Thalassa, weak but determined, tried to follow. "Give me back my children..."

She barely took two steps before a burly bodyguard blocked her path. Thalassa halted, her eyes swimming with tears as she faced him.

"Move aside, let me go to my children!" Thalassa gasped for air.

"Sorry, Ms. Everhart, don't bother chasing them. It's no use," the bodyguard said.

Thalassa knew it was futile to argue with the bodyguard. She turned her teary eyes to Zephyr, pleading, "Please, leave the children with me. They are my flesh and blood..."

"They might be your flesh and blood, but you're not fit to be a mother!" Zephyr spoke with a mix of sadness and fury.

His eyes were clouded yet intense, fueled by pain and anger. "A month ago, after Lysander returned from Hollowbrook, he was in a slump. I knew you had clouded his judgment; his whole world revolved around you. To help him move on, I orchestrated a little problem at the overseas firm, forcing him to work abroad. It was supposed to be a three-month job. I thought that in three months, he'd come to his senses, that pining over a woman wasn't worth it. But he stubbornly finished the three-month workload in one!

After completing the job, he secretly came back to the country to see you, and now he's in this perilous situation! You viperous woman, wasn't it enough to destroy Leopold? Now you're after my Lysander, too! Cough... cough..."
