Alaric paused, giving Hertha a look before his gaze shifted meaningfully towards Spencer, who was sitting across from him. His look was pretty straightforward.

Finally, his eyes landed on Spencer, flashing a mischievous smile, "You and Hertha wouldn't mind taking me in, would you?"

What was Alaric on about? Asking to crash with them!

Hertha felt a pang in her heart, her pulse racing. That Alaric, always causing her stress, making her heart skip beats with his antics.

Today, his visit for a day of barbecue had nearly sent her over the edge, scrambling to get everything in order, just so he wouldn't bump into Julian and Helena.
