Georgia hurried forward, blocking his path with a plea in her eyes, "This time it's for real. I swear I'll change. No more screaming or pressuring you."
It had taken a lot of effort to convince Angelina to do her this favor, and even more so for Angelina to persuade Remington to arrange a meeting with Alaric.
This chance, if she lost it, her and Alaric's future would be over.
"Get lost!" Alaric, who had managed to keep his temper in check until now, was visibly agitated.
His usual demeanor was laid-back and charmingly mischievous, but Georgia was the only one who could drive him to the brink of fury.
Alaric's raised voice had caught the attention of other diners, with some turning their heads curiously towards him and Georgia.
A waiter, sensing the brewing storm, approached cautiously and asked, "Sir, Ma'am, is there anything I can help you with?"
"We have a reservation by the window. Could you please seat us there? The booking's under the number 135..." Georgia said, maintaining her composure.
She knew she had to keep her cool. Only by staying calm could she hope to win Alaric over.
She couldn't afford to lose her temper again. If she couldn't control her fiery heiress temperament, she'd lose the love of her life for sure.
"Right this way, please," the waiter said after checking the reservation, leading them politely.
Georgia wanted to follow, but noticing Alaric hadn't moved, she stayed put. She knew if she walked away, Alaric might just leave.
Standing in front of him, her eyes were pleading, desperately seeking his attention.
And Alaric, his sharp, fox-like eyes were filled with anger, staring back at her with an intensity that screamed for her to move away.
