The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 1566

Georgia witnessed a series of unexpected actions from Alaric. First, he interrupted a couple's proposal, and then he dashed outside in a hurry.

Worried that Alaric might leave for good, Georgia grabbed onto his shirt as he briskly walked away. "Alaric, you promised we'd have dinner together!" she exclaimed.

Up until that moment, Georgia had managed to keep her temper in check, heeding her mother's advice to always coddle Alaric. But seeing him about to run off ignited Miss Georgia's temper in an instant. Gasping for breath in her fury, her voice was laden with accusation as she clung onto him.

Alaric turned around, confronted by Georgia's shrill, angry demeanor, and could no longer contain his irritation. Angrily, he shrugged her off. "It was my mom who promised you, not me!" he snapped.

Without another word, he stormed out of the restaurant. He knew Georgia wouldn't change. Her earlier display of vulnerability, pleading for his forgiveness, was just a ploy. Once forgiven, she'd revert to her domineering ways. Conceding to her would only embolden Georgia, allowing her to trample over his dignity.

Thankfully, his decision to dine was merely to honor his grandfather, not because he believed Georgia's words. In less than ten minutes, Georgia had reverted to her condescending and imperious nature.

Alaric couldn't bear the thought of enduring such a woman by his side.

Thrown off by Alaric's rejection, Georgia stumbled, nearly crashing into a nearby table. By the time she regained her composure, Alaric had vanished from the restaurant.

Furious, Georgia flailed her arms in the air and stamped her feet, screaming, "Ah! Alaric, how could you do this to me again! You think I'll just let go? Think again!"

Georgia's scream echoed throughout the restaurant, drawing wary and curious glances from other patrons.

Emmeline, startled, leaned closer into Spencer's embrace, whispering, "Spencer, what's happening?"

Spencer wrapped his arms around Emmeline, cautious not to provoke Georgia further, and whispered in her ear, "A love triangle..."

Emmeline froze, shocked not just by his words but by the ticklish sensation his breath caused on her ear, sending a shiver down her spine. That tingling feeling was like an electric current, spreading through her body and making her blood buzz.

Emmeline's cheeks flushed red. In front of the man she liked, a simple action from him made her feel utterly vulnerable.

After Spencer finished whispering, he caught sight of Emmeline's blushing ears, noticeably redder than before. Spencer, no stranger to the dynamics of attraction, understood the reason behind Emmeline's reaction. His throat tightened, but maintaining his gentlemanly demeanor, he released Emmeline and gently suggested, "Let's sit down and have our dinner."

"Okay," Emmeline responded shyly, her head nodding in agreement.
