Alaric must have been at his wit's end with her outrageous behavior. No way he'd take her back, not even for millions.
"Who do you think you are, talking about me like that! Just wait, I'll sue you until you're broke!" Georgia couldn't take it anymore. She hated it when people pointed out her flaws, especially when it came to the one thing she cared about the most.
Georgia was fuming, literally spinning in place with anger.
"And you! Get down on your knees and apologize! And after that, cough up $200,000 for my emotional distress!" Georgia was on a rampage, lashing out at anyone in her path, pointing furiously at the waiter.
The waiter's fists were clenched so tight from holding back that they were shaking. Seeing the kind stranger about to be dragged to court by Georgia, the waiter couldn't hold back any longer and said, "Ms. Whitman, are you upset because you're worried your little kitchen request got leaked?"
"What nonsense are you spouting!" Georgia was livid with embarrassment and rage.
"You had the kitchen slip something into one of the steaks meant for that gentleman who just left. But he left before he could eat it, and now you're taking your anger out on me, flipping steaks to destroy the evidence!" Realizing his job was gone anyway, he decided to reveal the truth. If he kept quiet, he'd be on the hook for the $200,000 and drag the kind stranger down with him.
The waiter knew it was time to stop being timid.
Hearing the waiter's accusation, Spencer turned to Georgia with a serious look, "What did you give Alaric?"
It clicked that today was supposed to be a significant day for Georgia and Alaric's reconciliation. Spencer suddenly asked, suspicion rising, "You didn’t give Alaric some kind of... love potion, did you?"
Trying to seduce Alaric as a way to make amends? Georgia's methods were despicable.
Spencer couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for Alaric.
Georgia's previously defiant gaze started to waver, as she retorted, "You're slandering me, and that's just one more thing I can sue you for!"
"The steak's still on the floor. Just get a professional to check it, and we'll see who's slandering who," the waiter chimed in.
"I happen to know a doctor. I'll call him right now," Spencer said as he pulled out his phone, adding, "I know Alaric. I'll call him too, have him come over as a witness."
Hearing Spencer was calling Alaric, Georgia panicked. If Alaric found out she was resorting to such tactics for his forgiveness, he'd only despise her more. She'd lose any chance of getting back together with him.
Flustered and red in the face, she blurted, "Why bother calling? Got nothing better to do? Today's just not my day, running into all you troublemakers! I've got important things to do and no time to argue with you!"
With that, she stormed off. Though her pride remained unyielding, her guilt was evident.
"Spencer, you should still call Alaric, let him know what happened at the restaurant," Emmeline suddenly suggested.
