The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 715

"Right. We need to look after Mom." Sophia, standing to the side, piped up and looked up at Thalassa with a determined expression. Her tiny fists were clenched as she said, "We can’t let Dad bully Mom."

They were worried about their mother. Their hearts were almost breaking with concern.

Understanding dawned on Thalassa. So, the little ones were worried she was being bullied.

Thalassa's heart warmed as she felt their overwhelming love. "Don't worry, Dad won't bully Mom. And Mom is a grownup, so I can protect myself. You don't have to worry about me, okay?"

Once Thalassa gave them this reassurance, the little ones seemed to calm down. They nodded in agreement.

"Alright, let's go downstairs for a bath." Thalassa's nerves, jangled by Lysander, were soothed by the prospect of a bath.

She quickly led the children out of the room, ignoring Lysander's oppressive gaze.

After bathing the children and tucking them into bed, she turned off the lights and wished them goodnight.

As she turned, she walked into a solid chest.

Startled, Thalassa looked up and saw Lysander's deep eyes. She took a sharp breath and stepped back. "Shouldn't you be asleep?"

"I was waiting for you." Lysander's deep voice was smooth as silk.

In the next second, he swept her off her feet.

Thalassa gasped and instinctively clung to his neck. Regaining her bearings, she lowered her voice, unable to hide her embarrassment. "What are you doing?"

"You'll find out soon enough." Lysander's voice was deep and resonant.

He carried her swiftly into the bathroom, shut the door, and turned on the shower. The warm water cascaded down on Thalassa, and the sudden sensation caused her to flinch.

After adjusting to the temperature, she finally relaxed, but she still glared at him through the water. "Lysander, don't push it."
