The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 737

When she asked the first time, it was with resentment. She hoped, with all her heart, that Bruce was not her father.

This time, she asked with determination. She was seeking the truth.

Facing Thalassa's serious gaze, Evelyn flickered her eyes and looked away.

"Why are you asking this again?" Evelyn was clearly trying to evade the question.

"At the hospital, Bruce lost a lot of blood and needed a transfusion. I offered mine, but the nurse said it couldn't be done after hearing my blood type was B." Thalassa explained.

"What's Bruce's blood type?" Evelyn's eyes, still filled with shock, were now layered with anxiety.

"He's type-O. Mom, you're type-O too, so why am I type B?" Thalassa stared at Evelyn, scrutinizing her every facial twitch.

Back when they lived in the countryside, the whole family had a medical check-up, so Thalassa learned everyone's blood type. She clearly remembered Evelyn was type-O.

Evelyn looked pale, and her gaze became even more evasive. "You must have got it wrong. I should be type-B."

Thalassa grabbed her shoulders, turning her around to face her. "Mom, what are you hiding? Am I not Bruce's daughter? Then whose daughter am I?"

"No, you are his daughter." Evelyn was insistent.

"Really? I had the doctor keep his blood sample. I can go to the hospital right now for a paternity test."

Evelyn immediately panicked and gripped Thalassa's hand tightly. "Don't go! Don't do the paternity test!"

"Then tell me what's going on!" Thalassa sternly demanded.

Evelyn's eyes welled up with tears. Her mind traveled back to over two decades ago.

"When I found out Bruce had betrayed me, I was heartbroken and went to a bar to drink my sorrows away. In a fit of revenge, I ended up sleeping with a stranger, and then you came along."
