Understanding his silent approval, she responded to her children, "Alright, after breakfast, Mommy will take you to school."

"Mommy, you have to come pick us up later, okay? I don’t want Fitch to do it. I miss you and feel like crying when I don’t see you," Elowen said, her little nose beginning to turn red as tears welled up in her eyes. She raised her chubby little hand to wipe them away.
