The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires novel Chapter 220

Everett's handsome face shot up to look at her.

His suit was wrinkled, and his shirt buttons had been torn off in his distress. His usually deep, soulful eyes were now bloodshot. He looked like a beast trapped in the night, suppressed yet sharp, leaving her breathless.

"You lied to me, didn't you?"

Dorothy furrowed her brows. "What?"

"You didn't really choose Kenneth; you just said it out of spite, right?"

She quickly withdrew her hand, hiding all her concern for him and feigning annoyance. "I thought you could let go easily. I never thought you could be the clingy type too! What a pity; I don't want to continue this charade. Hmm!"

Before Dorothy could finish her sentence, Everett's aggressive kiss silenced her.

She swallowed all her remaining words, the ones he did not want to hear.

Everett's kiss was urgent. It was devoid of desire or skill; all she could taste was rusty blood spreading from his split lip.

He desperately sought her response as he worshiped her lips and tongue over and over again, as if he wished to mold her into his body.

But Dorothy was like a puppet. She let him have his way and let him take whatever he wanted from her.

Inebriated, Everett was not willing to give up. His kiss was becoming more and more intense, pressing her down onto the carpet as his hands firmly held her waist.

Losing all reason, he began to tear at her clothes.

Only when they were completely exposed to each other and only when he entered her did Dorothy finally push against his chest, beginning to resist.

"Everett, I came to sign the divorce papers! I'm not a prostitute!"

But the difference in their strength was too great. His chest was hard and solid, and, in desperation, Dorothy raised her hand and slapped him across the face.

Everett froze, all movement ceasing.

Dorothy hadn't thought she would hit him. She was somewhat scared; after all, she was facing a drunk man who had already lost his reason when he was kissing her. It wouldn't be surprising to see what he would do next.

But Everett didn't say a single harsh word to her.
