0825.
The sight of these numbers made his stomach churn, and the person they brought to mind was someone he'd rather forget.
If he needed to start over, he had to completely let go of the past.
Even if he ever ran into Dorothy again, he would never go back. He just couldn't.
…
After a long day at the office, Dorothy grabbed a quick bite and headed back to her temporary hotel accommodations. The moment she parked her car, her phone buzzed with a call from Austin.
"I'll have the designer contact you soon." He said.
"Have her meet me at my hotel." Dorothy paused for a moment before adding, "You didn't scold her, did you?"
"No. I did as you asked. I had one of her friends at the office find out about it."
"Good."
Austin chuckled. "If you manage to sort this out, you'd be doing me a huge favor. This has been a thorn in my side for ages."
"No need to thank me." Dorothy replied. "I'm just doing my job. If the resort project falls through, I won't get my bonus."
After a bit of small talk with Austin, she hung up. Not long after, the doorbell to her hotel room rang.
Dorothy opened the door to find a petite young woman dressed in a white sundress.
"Hello, are you Ms. Sanchez?"
