The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires novel Chapter 263

Who was he?

Before Dorothy could ask, a piercing pain shot through her skull, contorting her pretty features into a grimace.

Seeing her agony, the doctor rushed to provide her with some pain relief.

Minutes later, the young nurse, who had previously left, hurried back into the room. "That gentleman said he knows now."

"He's not coming over?"

"No, he's already left."

As Dorothy listened to the exchange between the nurse and doctor, there was a strange feeling in her gut. But before she could say anything, a wave of nausea hit her again.

After enduring the discomfort for a while, the little strength she had left was quickly drained. Dorothy closed her eyes and drifted back into unconsciousness.

When she woke up again, she was already in a regular hospital room.

The first thing she saw upon opening her eyes was Austin. His forehead was wrapped in gauze, and he was sitting on a chair nearby.

Alongside him was Lane; his towering figure seemed to have been washed over with travel grime, and his face was filled with concern.

"Thank God, you're awake!"

Lane strode over to her bedside as soon as he saw her eyes flutter open.

Dorothy felt dizzy, but the pain had lessened. She guessed the painkillers were still working their magic.

"I'm okay."
