Patricia was sitting in her wheelchair with a smug grin plastered on her face.
Thank god, she and her brother Balfour happened to be at the same hospital as Theo was taking Ellinor for her prenatal checkup.
So she had given the obstetrician a heads-up, instructing him to fudge the lab results.
Otherwise, if Theo knew the baby in Ellinor's belly was his, he would surely ditch her and Baber in a heartbeat.
Now, thinking that the baby was another man's, Theo must see Ellinor as a loose woman, and he would surely drop her like a hot potato.
Huh! That despicable Ellinor! Did she think she could snatch Theo away from her again? Not a chance!
"Patricia, why are you all by yourself here?"
Haillie’s confused voice sounded from behind her.
Patricia spun her wheelchair around, flashing her best innocent smile.
"Just needed some fresh air; the ward was getting stuffy. How's Balfour doing, Haillie?"
Upon mention of Balfour's injury, Haillie's face crumpled, "Balfour's wounds are bandaged. The doc says it's a minor fracture. He just needs some rest. Quinton is looking after him now."
Patricia feigned worry, "I just hope there's no lasting damage. Who would have thought Theo would lay a hand on him, all because of Ellinor."
Haillie gritted her teeth at the mention of Ellinor, "Theo's always respected Balfour. He wouldn't have hit him if it weren't for whatever that tramp Ellinor told him."
The more she talked, the angrier she got. She felt like she could chop Ellinor into pieces with her bare hands.
Patricia, as always, played the victim, "Ellinor really crossed the line this time. She's gotten both Theo and Balfour hurt. I don't even know how badly Theo's injured or if he's seen a doctor."
Haillie huffed, "But you're injured too, Patricia! Your foot, remember? It's all because of that witch, Ellinor. She shows up and all hell breaks loose. It's so annoying! Just wait, I'll deal with her!"
Watching Haillie practically foam at the mouth with hatred for Ellinor made Patricia smirk.
