"Alrighty!"
Ellinor left the blood collection room with the little girl, Lea Reynolds, heading towards the trauma room to wait for her mom to finish donating blood.
However, after they left, the two nursing interns on duty in the blood collection room got into a discussion.
"Hey! Did you hear that? The handsome guy who came to donate blood, it seemed like he was asking Ms. Mendoza to have an abortion!"
"I did! I heard it too! Ah! He's so good-looking, I thought he was a good guy! Who would've thought a guy that handsome would turn out to be so irresponsible!"
The intern on the left snorted, shaking her head in disagreement, "Hmm... I don't think they're in a romantic relationship. They're probably relatives, like siblings or something. Don't you think they kind of look alike?"
The intern on the right tried to recall, "Now that you mention it, they do look somewhat alike! But how could they be siblings? If they are, why would a brother ask his sister to have an abortion? That doesn't make sense!"
The intern on the left stood her ground, "Why not? If he's the older brother and he doesn't like the guy who got his sister pregnant, of course he might pressure her into having an abortion to avoid trouble!"
The intern on the right pondered, "Hmm... There are examples of that possibility! But, the way they were talking just now didn't seem like siblings at all! That guy kept calling her Ms. Mendoza, so formal, so distant. Would siblings call each other like that? I still think they're more likely not siblings!"
The intern on the left was adamant about her instincts, she was persistent and wanted to convince the other, otherwise she wouldn't feel comfortable!
But she couldn't find any convincing evidence...
