The conversation with Luke reappeared in Eileen's mind again. 'He is so stubborn and determined!’
Realizing that she was thinking about Luke, Eileen shook her head and watched the album.
The next day.
Early in the morning, Eileen went to the hospital.
The doctor said, "Are you ready?"
Eileen nodded. "Ready."
Kirsten held Eileen hand tightly.
"The medicine has already been prescribed. Go to the ward. I'll treat you
with chemotherapy medicine shortly."
"Okay."
The doctor was afraid that Eileen would vomit, so she let Eileen take antiemetic in advance, and then she started the infusion of four drugs.
At first, Eileen was still a little nervous.
However, when the needle was propelled into her hand, she became calm.
Kirsten accompanied her all the time.
By the time the infusion was over, it was noon.
The minute Eileen and Kirsten walked out o f the hospital, a car stopped beside them." Get into the car."
Eileen looked up.
It was Ruben.
"Why are you here?" "I visited a friend at the hospital. What a coincidence. Get into the car. I promised to play with Brad today." Ruben said.
Eileen declined. "No. Thank you."
"It's going to rain soon. It’s not easy to hail a taxi, and I just happen to be going to your place."
Eileen still wanted to refuse, but Kirsten had already said first, "Thank you."
"You are welcome."
Eileen and Kirsten got into the car.
Kirsten's eyes were like radar, scanning Eileen.
