As the waiter just happened to pass by with a food cart, Jason's embarrassment disappeared.

Pretending nothing was wrong, he picked up his knife and fork and elegantly cut the steak.

After cutting it, he put the steak on Eleanor's plate.

"Ms. Shultz, you're too skinny, you should eat more."

Compared to five years ago, Eleanor had indeed lost a lot of weight.

She used to look full of energy.

Now she was extremely thin, no wonder she got tired easily.

He must be trying to sleep with her again, given his frantic search for her. But her body couldn't handle it anymore.

She thought for a moment, then replied to him on WhatsApp, "I'm so tired. Can you let me rest for now and we'll talk in a few days?"

Mr. Law still had evidence of her attempts to kill Josef.

Although Josef would face a bunch of problems from the Caporal Group when he woke up and wouldn't have time to bother her for now.

But if Mr. Law got angry and directly exposed her plan, Josef would surely be the first to retaliate against her, and she'd end up worse off. Even if she didn't want to be tortured by Mr. Law, she had to appease him for the sake of not alerting Josef.

After sending the message, she turned off her phone, took out the car key, and opened the car door.

The window slowly rolled down, revealing a side profile so exquisite and sharp that it was breathtaking in the dim light.
