Evan solemnly promised Bernard, "I'll be with you, dude. Whether we're gonna live or die, I'll be there."

Bernard arrogantly lifted his chin and said, "That's because it's all you're good for."

Evan was infuriated by Bernard's arrogance, thinking, "How can this guy be so smooth with words?!"

"Evan, I must go to my wife; you can see yourself out."

"Are you going or not?"
