The black light solidified slowly to form a shape above Skylar's head, soon revealed to be a circle of black light. It was so dark within that nothing was visible.
Besides that, the space within the light appeared to be rippling like the surface of a still lake blown by a mighty wind.
Jared frowned slightly at the sight. “Is this fellow summoning another creature?”
Skylar and Karl had once summoned creatures on Dragon Island, and Jared assumed that Skylar would play the same old trick.
Despite the long wait, nothing emerged from the black circle of light.
Instead, a humming sound began, followed by an overwhelming force emanating from the circle of light. The sound waves crashed against Jared's body like the ocean in a tempest.
“Let me tell you something, Jared. This is the Godcatcher Formation, a magecraft technique from an ancient text that is centuries old. You won't be able to escape even if you are
immortal.’
Skylar glared at Jared as his face began to contort.
It was challenging and draining for Skylar to conjure such a spell.
However, Skylar was willing to push himself for an opportunity to kill Jared.
The dark light continued solidifying as the oppressive force kept its relentless assault. Everything touched by the sonic booms turned to dust.
As the force spread outward, even the rubble in the estate turned to dust, with nothing spared within a radius of several hundred meters. Even the remains of the civilians killed by Skylar's martial energy were turned into a fine mash of blood and flesh.
In the near distance, Pentacarna Tower emitted a rumble as though resisting the oppressive force.
Aside from Jared and Skylar on the barren land spanning thousands of square meters, only Pentacarna Tower remained upright.
Jared felt the immense pressure in his bones as their creaking became incessant.
The pressure came in waves without allowing Jared the opportunity to breathe.
