Upon hearing that, a red-faced Skyler hastily went up to Jared. “I'm so sorry, Mr. Chance. I misunderstood you earlier...”

“Don't worry about it, Ms. Loulland. Anyone would've reacted strongly under those circumstances,” Jared said smilingly.

Archer, on the other hand, stood rooted to the spot.

“What's the matter with you, Archer?” Matthew chided, his brow knitted into a frown.
