At the Gate of Fire, Lamar of Zahrin Sect had led their disciples into a battle against the Gunderson family and The Adamantine.
The Gate of Fire had transformed into a battleground.
Chester, whose face was pale, stared at Lamar and questioned confusedly, “Lamar, have you lost your f*cking mind? Why did you attack us all of a sudden?”
“Mr. Gunderson, we don't share the same vision. Since the spiritual energy is about to be restored, you guys will only get in our way. That's why we have to slaughter all of you first!” Lamar snarled, his murderous intent palpable.
“What's the meaning of this, Lamar? Were you the one who allied with Evil Heart Sect? Are you trying to join forces with the members of Evil Heart Sect and control the restoration of spiritual energy?” Wayne of The Adamantine questioned.
“That is correct. Since you're all going to die, I see no point keeping this from you. We've allied with the Evil Heart Sect for a while now. The world will be ours upon the restoration of the spiritual energy!”
Lamar sneered. With a light tug, he pulled off his clothes to reveal a bright purple robe he was wearing under him.
“You're the purple-robed emissary of Evil Heart Sect?”
Both Chester and Wayne were stunned by the revelation, but they soon narrowed their eyes.
They never thought that Lamar, who had lived in the Gate of Fire for decades, would turn out to be Evil Heart Sect's purple-robed emissary.
It would appear that Evil Heart Sect and Zahrin Sect had established a collaboration since long ago.
“Why are you doing this, Lamar? You're the leader of the Zahrin Sect, so why would you willingly become a mindless follower of Evil Heart Sect?”
Chester could not wrap his head around what Lamar was thinking. Was being the leader of a sect not good enough for him? Why would he resort to being a lackey instead?
