Jared felt relieved when the Three Bandits told him they had found another exit. Even if the men from the Nesser family came in, he could still get out of there safely.
“I'll pluck another heavenly thunder fruit and we're pulling out. The strength of the heavenly thunder from the heavenly thunder tree is ridiculous!” Jared said.
His body couldn't withstand another series of heavenly thunder strikes from the heavenly thunder tree anymore.
Taking in Jared's charred body, Salazar couldn't help asking, “Mr. Chance, can your body take it? Please don't put your life at risk!”
He didn't want Jared to die because the three of them would suffer the same fate.
“What nonsense are you talking about, Salazar? Mr. Chance will surely be okay!” Crixus reprimanded Salazar before turning to Jared. “Mr. Chance, you look like you've reached your limit. Don't force yourself!”
“Don't worry. I'll be fine.” Jared moved toward the heavenly thunder tree once again.
Before Jared could reach the heavenly thunder fruits, he was struck by the heavenly thunder tree.
He gritted his teeth and endured the pain as he grabbed one of the heavenly thunder fruits before plucking it off the tree.
Boom!
Right after Jared plucked the heavenly thunder fruit, he was struck by another bolt of lightning.
This time around, Jared was flung away into the distance like a kite with a broken thread and landed heavily on the ground.
“Mr. Chance!”
The Three Bandits rushed toward Jared.
“Let's retreat! We need to leave now,” Jared instructed the Three Bandits.
At that point, Jared appeared to be extremely weak.
