A Touch of Sweetness novel (Finnick and Vivian) novel Chapter 3012

"What's there to tell? I'm no outsider, so I'm free to come whenever I want!" Nancy said with a shrug.

Everyone burst out laughing at that moment.

It was this character of Nancy's that drew Jessica to her. She wasn't pretentious, she was carefree, and most importantly, she wasn't scheming like other women. Jessica felt truly happy and comfortable around her.

After cleaning up and tidying the house for a while, they finally stopped to take a well-deserved break.

"Thank you so much for all your help," Jessica said as she plopped herself down on the sofa.

"Oh, don't say that! You know we'd do anything for you," Nancy immediately replied.

"Alright, alright. Tell you what, I shall cook for everyone tonight!" With that, Jessica made a beeline for the kitchen.

Nancy's eyes widened in shock at what she had just heard. What? Jessica cooks?

Joan, like Nancy, was also staring at Jessica in bewilderment. But what surprised her more was how Larry didn't even bat an eyelid to all of this.

Joan looked at him skeptically. Does he already know that Jessica can cook?

In actuality, it was perfectly normal that Jessica knew how to cook.

She had been with Caspian for years, so it wasn't surprising if she had learned to cook for him.

Everyone enjoyed themselves over the hearty, delicious meal, and after a bit of chit-chat, they soon took their leave.

On their way home, Joan couldn't stop nagging about how worried she was for Jessica, and Larry could only listen on in amusement.

Eventually, he had to coax her in order to calm her down. "Okay, okay. Stop nagging. You know how Jessica's like. She isn't one to be messed with, and she definitely won't let herself be bullied."

Joan knew Larry had a point. Jessica was undoubtedly a tough woman, but the problems she faced were just way too many and complex.
