At long last, Caspian looked up at Larry and wiped his tears away.
"Larry, I've been completely fooled and lied to."
If there was a silver lining to this mess he had gotten himself into, it was that he didn't give Lisa the one million she had asked for. No wonder she was badgering me for the money! It all makes sense now!
"Larry, can I go back to Norton Corporation?"
"Of course, no problem."
After exchanging a few more words over a couple more beers, Caspian got so drunk that Larry had to send him home.
Once they got to Caspian's, Lisa immediately made her way toward them. "Oh my, where have you been? Why have you had so much to drink?"
Caspian scoffed at the sight of Lisa, annoyed that she still had the guts to stay by his side after what she had done.
"Caspian's drunk. Please take care of him," Larry said before leaving.
Lisa smiled when she heard that. He's drunk?
This might be a good opportunity for me!
As she helped him to the bed, her eyes gradually turned dark and sinister.
"Caspian, where did you keep your credit card?" Lisa whispered while caressing Caspian's hair.
"What credit card?"
"The one that Larry gifted you!"
Indeed, she's only with me to fleece me! Caspian ignored her and deliberately rolled over, pushing her to the floor as he did.
Lisa yelped in pain as she lay sprawled on the floor. How dare he push me down! Nevertheless, she wasn't going to give up that easily. She walked over to the bed and planted a kiss on Caspian's forehead.
"Be good, Caspian. Tell me now, where's that credit card of yours?"
Thump!
Lisa suddenly stumbled back into the wall when Caspian pushed her away. It was yet another futile attempt, and she was getting frustrated.
