She hated men who were unreasonable. He was the one who gave up on her first; yet, he wanted to get back together with her so shamelessly now.
"Please. Listen to me, Jessica," he said restlessly.
"I told you that you don't have to explain anything. I don't want to listen to any of your explanations either. It doesn't matter if what you did was something voluntary or because you were helpless. It has nothing to do with me anymore. Leave now, please. Otherwise, I'm going to call the cops. I have other matters to tend to, so I won't entertain you anymore."
With that said, she turned and went back into the bookstore.
What a stubborn woman! She knew that I had no choice back then but is still so ruthless towards me. His expression slowly darkened at the thought of it.
Jessica's reaction was actually extremely normal and she didn't go too far at all. The one who crossed the line had always been Caspian.
Before all this happened, Joan and Larry had warned him countless times but he never listened. And now, he landed himself in hot water. Not only was he unable to salvage his relationship with Jessica, but Lisa was also clinging to him. His life was just like a drama now.
"How can you be so cruel, Caspian?" Lisa cried as she ran towards him. Then, she grabbed tightly onto his arm and didn't let go.
"What are you trying to do?" the man's guard went up as he asked.
What was she trying to do? She was obviously going to pester him. Lisa sneered and a disdainful look appeared on her face.
"I want to be with you, Caspian. I really like you for who you are. We've been together for so long, you must've felt it, right? I'll give birth to your children in the future, and I'll cook and clean for you," she said coquettishly.
Is that so? Would you still say that if I didn't have the money? What a joke!
"Get lost! I will never be with you!" Caspian shouted.
And then what? Are you going to get back together with that b*tch Jessica? Lisa stared coldly at him and her eyes were filled with disdain.
She was very familiar with Jessica's personality and temper. Since Caspian did something to betray her or crossed her bottom line, she would never forgive him easily.
