Polly glanced at Grace, who was partially buried in the snow, and instructed the mischievous little ghost beast, "Hurry! She's not finished yet! Keep covering her!"
Quinnie stood by the window, watching Lilly and Grace engage in a snowball fight.
Grace, usually arrogant, revealed her true nature when interacting with Lilly, showing a more childlike side. And Lilly? She was well-behaved in public but found joy in teasing Grace. Together, they were a lively pair, one talkative and the other reserved, constantly teasing and playing.
Soon, Lilly and Grace went upstairs and arrived at Quinnie's room.
Quinnie grinned and asked, "Did you have a good time? Feeling cold? Need a change of clothes?"
Lilly blushed and shook her head, saying, "I'm not cold. The cold doesn't bother me."
Grace, with slightly frozen hands, snorted and remarked, "If she's not cold, then I'm not cold either."
Lilly exclaimed, "If you want to compare like that, I can take off my coat and run a lap barefoot. Can you do that?"
Grace gave her a disdainful look and retorted, "There's nothing I can't do. I can even do it without clothes."
Lilly's mouth formed an "O" shape, and she teased, "Spread the word! Grace wants to run naked!"
Polly immediately became excited and shouted, "Everyone, come and see! Grace wants to run naked! Grace wants to run naked!"
Grace, now furious, clarified, "What I meant was not wearing thick winter clothes, not going completely naked!"
Lilly nodded and remarked, "Got it. That means not wearing any clothes."
Quinnie burst into laughter, and involuntarily, her mood lifted, giving her cheeks a slightly rosier hue.
Lilly held up an object in her hand and asked, "Aunt Quinnie, can you identify this thing?"
Quinnie examined the item in Lilly's hand and was bewildered. "I have no idea..."
She noticed Lilly was holding something resembling a glass bead with a dark green swirl inside. At first glance, it could be mistaken for the marbles kids play with.
"What's this?" Grace was also surprised. "When did you come across it?"
This couldn't be right! She had searched high and low at home, even meticulously downstairs, but there was clearly nothing there.
Lilly played with the bead between her fingertips and remarked, "There's a gap between people! You couldn't find it, but I stumbled upon it while casually playing in the snow."
Grace remembered that she had recently used The Order's time and space ability to clear all the snow from the yard. That was when Lilly discovered it...
Lilly gazed at the bead with a faint smile. "This is the Transformation Bead. It transfers the appearance of others onto your face. Ancient legends tell stories of empresses adopting the unparalleled beauty of favored concubines."
After the transformation, the face still belonged to the user, but it became mysteriously more attractive, bearing an uncanny resemblance to the source of the appearance transfer.
"It's a lesser-known dark art from a neighboring country, so it's no surprise that you couldn't find it."
