Lilly lay in a deep slumber. No one was able to predict when she would awaken.
The world continued to evolve as she slept. A new The Order was restructuring the world. Thus, there were numerous matters in the underworld that required immediate attention.
"You guys go ahead. I'll watch over her," Ivan said solemnly, sitting upright.
Blake clapped him on the shoulder as he deliberately pressed down on Ivan. He curled his lips into a plastic smile as he said, "You're truly something, kid!"
Ivan nodded seriously, unaffected by the threat contained within the gesture. "Yes! Thank you for the compliment, Mr. MacNeil!"
Blake could only stare as his threat fell completely flat before Ivan.
Meanwhile, Earth Goddess was crouching. Why was she doing such a thing? Well, she was busy observing Emperor Eastmount.
Matthan was utterly oblivious to his silent observer as he ran around with a look of wonder on his face!
"Wow! That's such a big butterfly! It's even bigger than grandma's largest pan!"
"Woah! Fruit! I want it!"
Lisa sat up in confusion as she watched her son play in the yard with wide eyes. For a moment, she thought she had returned to the Human Realm. Still, how did her tiny son suddenly become so big?
"Two years old... Three years old... Four years old..."
Wait, how old was her son now?!
…
A week later, Emperor Blake returned from the underworld to check on Lilly's condition. He touched her head and whispered, "Why hasn't she woken up yet? She's such a sleepy little thing."
Two weeks later, Blake returned from the Human Realm bearing an armful of gifts.
"Since you didn't go home for Christmas this year, your grandmother specially made you some food."
Jean had accompanied him this time. She didn't care that she wasn't going to receive a response as she remarked lightly, "These are all your favorites! Look at how well she knows you. How could you sleep through these wonderful scents, you little glutton?"
Three weeks later, Bettany was strolling through her garden in the Human Realm. She would occasionally look toward the gate as she murmured under her breath, "I guess Lilly still hasn't woken up. It's okay. Take your time, Lilly. I'll be patient."
Lilly had been unconscious for four weeks in the Nether, which equated to another two years in the Human Realm.
She forced herself to wake from her impromptu Sleeping Beauty time.
Her surroundings were quiet as Blake and Ivan had both left.
Suddenly, Lilly opened her eyes. At that moment, the legendary Sea-Wyvern, which had spanned thousands of miles long, let out an exhilarating roar behind her!
When she opened her eyes, it seemed as if the entire world, universe, stars, and dust were all contained within her gaze.
"Lilly!" Lisa entered with something in her hands. She was so overwhelmed by delight that she instinctively loosened her grip on the pot, causing it to fall with a loud clang!
"Lilly! Lilly! Lilly!" Lisa couldn't contain her excitement as she picked Lilly up and spun her around.
"Aunt Lisa!" Lilly couldn't help but let out an exasperated huff, "Put me down!"
Fortune and the others entered, their expressions pained as they looked at the fallen pot!
There was a 'big goose' in it, and they had planned to make a delicious stew with that pot!
A six-year-old child rushed in. The heartbroken expression on his face was evident as he yelled in dismay, "No! What did you do to my goose stew?!"
He quickly picked up the pot as he scrambled to salvage the ingredients scattered on the ground with Fortune and the others.
"Mom, why did you throw the pot—" He looked up and was stunned when he saw Lilly! "L-Lilly?!" He looked incredulous, resulting in the pot he had just picked up falling to the ground again!
Fortune stared at the utterly abused kitchenware in resignation. He looked up belatedly as he wondered, What on Earth could be more important than the stewed goose?
He blinked dumbly before bending down to pick it up once more. Then, he suddenly snapped his head up to really look at what was playing before him!
"Lilly!"
