Begin Again novel Chapter 134

Like clockwork and still mildly inebriated, Liam's brain nudged him awake sometime after 3:00 AM.

But unlike all the other times in the past, when he'd jolt out of sleep, ready to tackle his day, today he woke up parched and convinced he had been dead for more than a century.

Every part of his body ached, plus he had a banger of a headache.

He groaned as he opened his eyes and saw luscious brown hair fanned out over his arm.

Eden. His hell. His paradise.

Why was she in his house, again?

Did he drunk call her?

And did she come to him? Left the lawyer for him?

He remembered chatting to her on the phone and her giving him sass, but after that?

"You're awake," Eden stirred and turned to him, squinting up at him.

Christ, even in the dark, she was beautiful. And her eyes were all the more mesmerising when they were not hidden behind her glasses.

"Are you hungover?" She mumbled sleepily and nestled closer to his chest, purring in his neck. "Well, I don't have a hangover cure."

Of course, she didn't have a hangover cure. Why would she? It was his house, and Dave would fix him up real quick anyway.

"There's aspirin in the bathroom, but I'm not getting it for you." She carried on, clutching the front of his shirt—His Burberry shirt!

God, did she have something against Burberry or what? Why must she always ruin his limited edition pieces? She did the same shit with his blazer.

He gently pulled her hand up and kissed it before dropping it on the couch.

He didn't care what they did last night—he had a vague recollection. But what the hell made her think she could order him around? And what the hell was wrong with this couch?

It was too soft, too comfy, and—

When did he change it to cotton? When he went to bed last night, it was most certainly leather imported from Italy.

"Can you stop moving, please? I have to wake up in a couple of hours!"

Liam groaned and closed his eyes. She was beginning to work on his nerves. "Wake up, Princess. Time to go home!"

"Okay, go ahead. I'll see you at the office," Eden mumbled. "And please don't make a noise when you leave!"

Liam glared at her back, tempted to push her off his couch. "Why the hell would I leave my house? You have to go. Kool-Aid's probably waiting for you. And what the hell did you do to me last night? Did you take advantage of me?"

Eden snorted as she sat up, startling him out of his head, her eyes blazing furiously. "Are you freaking kidding me right now?"

"I don't like your tone," Liam growled as he sat up as well, pushing her as far away from him as possible. "Not the right way to treat your host!"

"Treat my host?" Eden asked through clenched teeth. "Look around you, Princess, this is my house, and if anything, you took advantage of me."

Did she just call him Princess?

The sass!

"Looks familiar?" She demanded.
