Charity was in the bathtub until she felt sleepy.
Just as she was about to fall asleep, she heard Chester’s deep, gentle voice. “Charity, wake up…”
She opened her eyes to see Chester’s face close up.
Charity was exhausted. She woke up groggily, and her brain felt like it was not working. She rubbed her eyes. “How did I fall asleep?”
Her hand felt slightly wet, and only then did she realize she was lying in the bathtub naked.
Her body’s curves were vaguely visible under the red rose petals.
Meanwhile, Chester was standing beside the bathtub with a fresh towel in his hand.
That scene suddenly hit Charity like lightning, and the grogginess she was feeling immediately disappeared.
She wanted to hide, but there was nowhere to hide in the bathtub. Her face blushed in an instant. “Who allowed you to enter without knocking? Get out.”
“I called you, but you didn’t hear me.”
Chester lied without flinching. “I came in because I was worried something happened to you. You’ve been in the bathtub for more than 40 minutes. You’ll faint if you soak yourself in the bath for too long.”
“I know. Get out. I want to stand up and put on my clothes,” Charity said in embarrassment.
“Okay.”
Chester held in his laughter. It was rare to see her embarrassed, and he wanted to admire her look longer, but he was afraid she would get angry. Therefore, he placed the towel at the side obediently and went out.
Charity cupped her heated face. She did not want to go out.
However, she still had to.
She dawdled to put on her clothes, and when she headed out, Chester walked over with a hairdryer. “Cal is asleep. Let me blow-dry your hair for you.”
“No. I’ll do it myself–”
“It’s tiring to do it yourself. Plus, you have such long hair. Isn’t it nice that you can be on your phone while I blow dry your hair for you?” Chester tempted her.
