Many emotions filled Ko San's face as though he was still reminiscing those times.
"After my enemy died, all his property became mine. Even this manual came from him," said Ko San as he smiled at Jiang Ning before he picked up his tea and gestured for Jiang Ning to help himself.
Jiang Ning didn't hold back.
This tea didn't come cheap.
"I studied the manual for a long time, but I couldn't wrap my mind around it. I'm guessing you know better what the patterns on the manual mean, right?"
Ko San put down his tea and continued, "To people like me, things like this are worthless. But for other people like you, it is priceless."
Since Jiang Ning spent US$300 billion to buy the manual, it was clear that it meant a lot to him.
"You're mistaken." Jiang Ning shook his
head calmly.
"I don't always spend money because things mean a lot to me," said Jiang Ning as he laughed. "Sometimes, I just like throwing my money away."
Ko San was stunned and went into a daze.
He only wanted to spend money?
Very quickly, his face reverted to normal, and he couldn't help chuckling.
"Mr Jiang is so interesting. Intriguing. Absolutely intriguing."
Ko San clapped his hands, and someone walked in from outside. Jiang Ning recognized him as the employee who was in charge of the paperwork for the transaction.
"But I can't take your money," said Ko San. "Actually, I've already had the fortune of meeting you, and I owe you my life. I certainly think my life is worth far more than US$300 billion. Also, this manual was yours to begin with. Now I'm just returning it to its rightful owner.”
The employee refunded all the money back into Jiang Ning's card as he spoke.
