Mark was indeed proud.

Claudia clicked her tongue, promptly nudging a warning with her elbow. Mark could only helplessly shrug in response.

This entire scene unfolded before Laura, who was standing behind. No one knew how long she had been standing there or how much she had heard. She was watching the man and woman on the television, standing together in perfect harmony.

She noticed that during the interview, Josie accidentally knocked over the pen on the table. No one noticed, only Morgan did. He bent down, picked it up, and placed it back where it belonged.

The two of them seemed to have a strong understanding of each other.

When he was by her side, his smile, incredibly, bore no trace of pretense.

The servant saw her standing there, seemingly frozen, and wanted to call out to her. But Laura quickly came back to her senses and shook her head at her.
